We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Neonatologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate will specialize in the care of critically ill newborns, premature infants, and those with congenital conditions or birth-related complications. This role involves working in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing advanced medical care to ensure the survival and development of newborns.

 

 

Responsibilities

Provide specialized medical care for premature and critically ill newborns in the NICU

Attend deliveries of premature and high risk infants

Diagnose and treat neonatal conditions such as respiratory distress syndrome, infections, and congenital abnormalities

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for newborns requiring intensive care

Perform life-saving procedures such as intubation, resuscitation, and central line placement

Monitor the growth and development of newborns, adjusting treatment as needed

Counsel and educate parents on their infant’s condition, treatment options, and long-term care

Work closely with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other specialists to provide comprehensive neonatal care

Participate in neonatal transport services, ensuring safe transfer of critically ill infants when needed

Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to hospital policies and medical regulations

Stay updated on advancements in neonatology and participate in ongoing medical research and training

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree

Board certification or eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

Valid state medical license to practice as a neonatologist

Completion of a fellowship in neonatology

Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work in high-pressure environments

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with healthcare professionals and support families

Experience in a Level III NICU (preferred)
