Communications Director's Message
Happy Spring!
The 2013 Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting in Washington, DC is just a few weeks away! I imagine many of you are busy working with your trainees to finalize posters and oral presentations, and setting up conference calls to review collaborative workshops. If you haven't started to peruse the preliminary PAS meeting program guide make sure you give yourself some planning time to make your personalized schedule. The PAS meeting is always a great chance to re-connect with colleagues and establish new professional connections with APA members. On Saturday, May 4th Paul Chung, Benard Dreyer and Thomas McInerny will lead a special PAS State of the Art Plenary, "A National Agenda to End Childhood Poverty." Be sure to check out Benard's Past President's column in this month's newsletter for more details about this exciting session. You also won't want to miss the Public Policy Council Topic Symposium on Child Health Policy in the New 113th Congress (10:30-12:30pm on Saturday, May 4th). The APA Presidential Plenary and Armstrong Lecture will be held on Monday, May 6th 1:30-5:15pm.
