APA Ambassadors & The APA New Member and PAS First Time Attendee Orientation

The First Timers Orientation Task Force would like you to help APA's new members establish meaningful relationships and navigate the meeting by serving as an APA Ambassador. APA Ambassadors are long-time APA members that represent and promote the organization during the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting.

APA Ambassadors will serve as points-of-contact for new APA members and first time PAS attendees throughout the meeting. As an APA Ambassador you will receive an APA Ambassador blue ribbon and should be available to answer questions, assist with networking and help integrate new members into the PAS meeting and into the APA.

We hope that the new relationships cultivated between new and established members of the Academic Pediatric Association will foster mutually beneficial professional interactions!

Who is an APA Ambassador?

If you are an experienced APA attendee and have been coming to the PAS meeting for more than 6 years, then you can serve as an APA Ambassador. No confirmation is necessary! APA members can establish themselves as Ambassadors by wearing a blue APA Ambassador ribbon. Ribbons can be picked up at the First Time Attendee and New Member Orientation on Saturday, May 5 in the British Columbia room in the Fairmont Royal York hotel. Ambassadors that attend the APA Member and PAS First Time Attendee Orientation will be connected with new member attendees.

We hope to see you at the Orientation on Saturday, May 5! If you have any questions please contact Brandi Freeman at Brandi.Freeman@childrenscolorado.org or Michelle White at mjoette@med.unc.edu.
